My daughter has been coming to Aliza for about 2 years now for her dyslexia. My daughter had such profound feelings of helplessness; she had given up on herself and accepted that she was “just not made to learn to read” and that school wasn’t for her. We were heartbroken to hear those words from our once joyful and sweet girl. When our daughter had her first meeting with Aliza, she felt an immediate connection of acceptance and trust with her. Aliza has helped our daughter build confidence in her reading skills, develop a love for reading, and most importantly, she has brought joy back into her life. Our daughter looks forward to seeing Aliza and even misses her between sessions! Aliza’s kind, gentle, and supportive nature has been a true gift to our daughter. Our daughter is starting 5th grade this fall; she’s the closest she’s EVER been to reading at grade level. We’re so proud of her! We are forever grateful for everything Aliza has done to help our girl reach her goals.
