Social Communication Group-Upper Middle School/High School

The purpose of this program is to develop social communication skills for upper middle school/high school students.

Our son worked with Lindsey Wilson and we cannot be more pleased with his progress. He went into speech just after his second birthday. He could only say a handful of words. We were concerned. He was frustrated almost all of the time because he could not tell us his wants and needs. Almost a year later, he is talking in paragraphs. Lindsey was thorough in her reporting after each session and gave us specific homework for home practice. Experiencing our sons frustrations because he could not communicate was taking a toll on our family, so we appreciated her expertise and the specific language activities she gave us to work on at home. Our son’s mood and behavior have changed ten fold since Lindsey came into our lives. He is happy and feels validated because he can use his words. Our family highly recommends Communication Works. They have changed our son’s life, giving his whole family a positive outlook moving forward. Thanks Lindsey. Thanks Communication Works. We will never forget what you have done for our son.

Communication Works is wonderful. From the office staff to the providers they are very kind and personable. Maggie (Speech Therapist) , Raychal, and Kristine (Occupational Therapists) are excellent therapists. Communication Works is one of the only places in town that provides the Orton Gillingham Reading Approach and this approach really helps kids who are struggling to learn to read. As a speech therapist myself, I highly recommend Communication Works.
