Speech Therapy in Lincoln, NE

“Communication… the essential human connection.”

– Ashley Montagu

  • Our son worked with Lindsey Wilson and we cannot be more pleased with his progress. He went into speech just after his second birthday. He could only say a handful of words. We were concerned. He was frustrated almost all of the time because he could not tell us his wants and needs. Almost a year later, he is talking in paragraphs. Lindsey was thorough in her reporting after each session and gave us specific homework for home practice. Experiencing our sons frustrations because he could not communicate was taking a toll on our family, so we appreciated her expertise and the specific language activities she gave us to work on at home. Our son's mood and behavior have changed ten fold since Lindsey came into our lives. He is happy and feels validated because he can use his words. Our family highly recommends Communication Works. They have changed our son's life, giving his whole family a positive outlook moving forward. Thanks Lindsey. Thanks Communication Works. We will never forget what you have done for our son.

A client's mom submitted this review to Communication Works and gave us permission to post it on Google. Thanks so much for the great review! We appreciate you and your sweet daughter!

"My daughter didn't start with speech at Communication Works until she was a junior in high school. We had tried speech therapy off and on over her years in the school system and were not getting the results we thought we should be getting. Communication Works was recommended to us by a friend so we reached out. Paige and the rest of the staff have been amazing!! I can't say enough about the improvement we have seen in the last year and a half. Paige has made speech a fun and positive experience for our daughter. They play games to work on speech, but Paige has really shown an interest in our daughter and they just talk as if they were chatting over coffee and those conversations are then what Paige uses as correction and practice. Not only does our daughter think of Paige as her speech therapist, she also has found a friend!"

When we determined that our 7 year old daughter was dyslexic, weren’t sure what to do. The school system didn’t offer services for her, and we were struggling at home to give her the tools she needed. We were able to connect with Communication Works and Aliza, with whom our daughter instantly bonded. Since then, we have seen steady, improving progress in our daughter’s reading, writing, spelling, and even math. Aliza’s approach makes our daughter feel important and empowered, and she looks forward to their zoom meetings more than any other event of the week. We are very fortunate to have Aliza and Communication Works as team members in our daughter’s education.

  • My 4 year old son has been working with Mrs. Lindsey at communication works for almost a year now. He is shy but warmed right up to her and loves days he gets to see her. He has made great progress in his speech due to Lindsey’s devotion to him. After each session she takes time to recap with me and often gives me printouts of things we can work on at home. We are so thankful for Mrs. Lindsey and everyone at Communication Works.

We LOVE Communication Works! My son and daughter see Miss Kylie. They absolutely love her! My daughter jumps with excitement every time she sees Kylie. Kylie has impacted my children so much! We are beyond grateful for her. My sons stutter is pretty much nonexistent and his letter sounds are so much better. The office staff is wonderful and always welcoming. This is the place to go!
