Recently, Rachael Aguilos (an inaugural Communication Works clinician) and Aliza Stremlau (the newest addition to the CW team!) presented at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention in Denver. Rachael and Aliza, who are also speech-language pathologists (SLPs) for Lincoln Public Schools, presented a poster about the coaching SLPs provide classroom teachers through the Student Assistance Process (SAP). With SLP support, teachers are able to provide simple articulation instruction, as well as monitor the progress of children with mild speech sound errors. As a result, many students are self-correcting error sounds, eliminating the need for special education services.

We are proud to have motivated, stellar, innovative clinicians like Rachael and Aliza on the Communication Works team. Congratulations, Rachael and Aliza!
